It's Independence Day

Last year for the 4th of July we took a family trip to visit The Crows in Lake Charles.  Oliver was only one month old so he slept and ate most of the time.  Since we don't get to see The Crow's very often we thought it would be the perfect time to go and see them.

Saying good morning over Cheerios

All the kids together in the sandbox...Ollie was not too fond of the sand!

Ollie had fun crawling around and chasing the beach ball

Ollie people watching....one of his favorite things to do!

He LOVED riding on the old school riding toy!

Preparing the fajita meat!!

The Crow Camp

Ollie found a hat!

Ollie's patriotic snack!

We spent most of our time in the lake.  It was so nice and relaxing.  Ollie did so well and seemed to enjoy himself as he floated from person to person!

 Hanging out with Daddy

Mommy time

It was so hot that we had to bring Ollie inside for breaks in the AC quite often.

Most of us (girls at least) went to bed each night pretty early.  Chasing after children in the heat all day can be exhausting!!  These were the only survivors for the late nights...

On Sunday Emma Grace had her birthday party.  Another day of fun in the sun and water!!

 Eating cheetos at Emma's party

Watermelon on the porch!  What could be better?

 Ok mom I am DONE!

Ollie's 1st boat ride and the 1st time in his life jacket.  He was not to fond of the life jacket at all.  It is not the most comfortable thing for a 13 month old to wear in the 100 degree heat.  Needless to say it was a short ride.  He has been on the boat since and it was much better!

On Monday all the guys woke up at 4 in the morning to go off shore fishing...how they did that I don't know!  The girls took the kids swimming again and then to Mandy's house to nap and play until the guys got home.  They finally got home around 4 that afternoon and we ate some dinner and headed home!!

We had such a great time relaxing with friends at the camp celebrating the fourth.  Thanks to the all the Crows for a wonderful Independence Day!!

Happy 4th of July!!
