Sunday Funday

A couple of Sundays ago Jacob, Ollie and I headed to Gammy and Paw's "house" to have a fun day on the lake.  We wanted to get out on the boat and get Ollie used to wearing his life jacket.  We knew it was going to be HOT and that there would be no escape from the heat but we hoped that Ollie would have fun.

 Callie came to play too!!

Ollie decided to wait in the tube until Paw brought the boat around

Such a STUD!!

Paw...I am over here!!!

Trying to get comfortable in the life jacket!!
He really did so GOOD!

Of course he liked it much better when the boat was moving and the wind was blowing...
and every time we stopped we would dip him into the water for a quick swim to cool down.

Ollie and Callie swimming while Jacob got ready to ski.

Ollie just had to drive!! He is such a B-O-Y!

Jacob skiing and Ollie driving!

Ollie liked watching everyone ski....and fall! HA

We finished the day off with some hotdogs and fun with Ollie!!  It was a lot of fun spending the afternoon at the lake and we can't wait until the house is complete so we can have more Sunday Fundays!!!

Happy Sunday Funday!

Cousins

On Saturday we went to Keithville to visit with my Mom and Grandma.  My Mom was watching Elizabeth so Ollie got to have a playdate.  They don't see each other very often so it was cute to see them interact.  They are a year and 4 days apart!

Elizabeth was done sharing! Ha

 Sweet Cousins!

Even though there was some jealousy issues over grandma and the toys; they had a fun time playing with each other.  More playdates to come!!

It's Independence Day

Last year for the 4th of July we took a family trip to visit The Crows in Lake Charles.  Oliver was only one month old so he slept and ate most of the time.  Since we don't get to see The Crow's very often we thought it would be the perfect time to go and see them.

Saying good morning over Cheerios

All the kids together in the sandbox...Ollie was not too fond of the sand!

Ollie had fun crawling around and chasing the beach ball

Ollie people watching....one of his favorite things to do!

He LOVED riding on the old school riding toy!

Preparing the fajita meat!!

The Crow Camp

Ollie found a hat!

Ollie's patriotic snack!

We spent most of our time in the lake.  It was so nice and relaxing.  Ollie did so well and seemed to enjoy himself as he floated from person to person!

 Hanging out with Daddy

Mommy time

It was so hot that we had to bring Ollie inside for breaks in the AC quite often.

Most of us (girls at least) went to bed each night pretty early.  Chasing after children in the heat all day can be exhausting!!  These were the only survivors for the late nights...

On Sunday Emma Grace had her birthday party.  Another day of fun in the sun and water!!

 Eating cheetos at Emma's party

Watermelon on the porch!  What could be better?

 Ok mom I am DONE!

Ollie's 1st boat ride and the 1st time in his life jacket.  He was not to fond of the life jacket at all.  It is not the most comfortable thing for a 13 month old to wear in the 100 degree heat.  Needless to say it was a short ride.  He has been on the boat since and it was much better!

On Monday all the guys woke up at 4 in the morning to go off shore fishing...how they did that I don't know!  The girls took the kids swimming again and then to Mandy's house to nap and play until the guys got home.  They finally got home around 4 that afternoon and we ate some dinner and headed home!!

We had such a great time relaxing with friends at the camp celebrating the fourth.  Thanks to the all the Crows for a wonderful Independence Day!!

Happy 4th of July!!
