Everyday with the Doyles: Hello Vegas

Last month Jacob and I got to go on a vacation to Las Vegas with our good friends Mandy and Kelley. We were very excited to be going but I was very nervous and sad to be away from Ollie for that long and be so far away!! I knew that he would be well taken care of and spoiled by his grandparents. I also knew that this would be good for Jacob and I to have some fun.

Why Vegas??? Well it all started when I heard that CELINE was coming back to Vegas for another three year stay at Caesars Palace!!! Did we need another reason...ha...NO!!! Mandy and I had the privilege of seeing Celine in New Orleans a couple of years ago and although we were way high up it was amazing and we sang our hearts out!! As soon as I told Mandy that she was coming back to Vegas we were "ALL IN"! We told each other after the show in N.O. that if we ever saw her again we would pay for good seats.

We booked the flight and hotel and bought the tickets in January!! We were super excited and couldn't wait to see CELINE again!!! Yes Mandy and I are the only two people are age that will "admit" that they LOVE CELINE!!!!!! WE LOVE HER!!!!

So the day finally came and we headed to Vegas on Thursday March 24th.

While we were waiting to board our plan I decided that I should go to the bathroom. I had watched about a dozen or more people go to the bathroom (we were sitting right in front of the bathrooms) so I knew where they were. I got up a walked to the bathroom and as I entered the bathroom I saw a man....umm well thats weird (thinking to myself) and then I walked further down and turned the corner to see A MAN PEEING AT A URINAL!!!!!!!! Opps after watching all of those people walk in and out of the bathroom I walked into the MENS BATHROOM!!! So I turned back around and walked out only to find Jacob, Mandy and Crow hysterically laughing. I immediately walked into the WOMENS bathroom and when I got back they said that they were yelling my name trying to get my attention when they noticed I was headed to the Mens but I of course heard nothing. Hahahahhaha On the flight to Vegas a girl sat next to Jacob and I and we small talked. About midway there Jacob started laughing and wanted me to tell the girl what I had done. So I did and she said oh that guy who saw you was my friend!!! Small plane...hahaha!

After we got to Vegas we obviously walked around a lot just sight seeing. It was fun to just walk into all the hotels and see cool architecture and crazy fancy expensive stores they had. That night for dinner we walked the long and windy walk down to the MGM to eat at Wolf Gang Pucks Bar and Grill. Yummo!

On Friday we walked around everywhere taking in all that Vegas had to offer and managed to do a little gambling too!

We were so freaking excited we couldn't wait for Saturday night!!

This was a really cool outside bar and casino. They even had a band.

Friday night Jacob and I headed to the Luxor to see Carrot Top perform.

It was so much fun and he was so hilarious!

While we were waiting to see Carrot Top I noticed that the Titanic exhibit was also at the Luxor.

So the next day after we took pictures at the Vegas sign (which by the way is much smaller than you think and kind of a little out of the way so you would never see it if you didn't actually go see it...does that make since???) Mandy and I bought two tickets to the exhibit. The guys didn't want to go and they missed out!!! It was PHENOMENAL!! Absolutely a must see....it left us speechless...CHILLS!! Well worth it!!

And of course on Saturday night Mandy and I finally got to go see CELINE!!!!!!!!!!! Cameras were not allowed so unfortunately I have no pics...only memories!! IT WAS AMAZING...OUR SEATS WERE AMAZING!!!! SHE DID A LITTLE MAGIC AND ACTUALLY POPPED UP RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!!! WE OF COURSE SCREAMED!! WE COULD NOT STOP SINGING. AND YES MANDY POINTED OUT THAT WE WERE ALMOST THE YOUNGEST PEOPLE THERE. WE DIDN'T CARE WE MADE FRIENDS WITH THE OLDER CANADIANS THAT SURROUNDED US AND I DANCED AND SANG ALONG WITH THE OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO SAT NEXT TO ME!!!! SHE PUT ON AN AMAZING SHOW...WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE!!!!! MANDY SAID SHE WANTS US TO GO AGAIN...SO WHO KNOWS!!
