Like Father, Like Son

A couple of weeks ago Jacob and Oliver happened to be dressed alike.  While we were outside Oliver decided he wanted to play basketball at the neighbors and I took the opportunity to capture some precious father and son moments!

Flying high!!

Nothing but net...I think that is how that saying goes!? HA

So very blessed to have two awesome boys in my life!!
I love you both so much!

In the Zone

Two Sundays ago my cousin's little girl, Reece, turned 3 years old and had her birthday party at In the Zone.  I had never been and basically it is a building with 6 big bouncy houses and that is it.  Oliver was in heaven!!  It did not matter how tall or big the bouncy was he had a blast playing in all of them!

 Wipe out!!!

He loved running back in forth in this one.  Thankfully Jacob came too so I did not have to get in with him!!

Next it was time for cupcakes, ice cream and watching the birthday girl open all of her gifts!

The birthday girl in her throne!!

We had a fun time and In the Zone was definitely better than I expected.

Easter 2012: My Redeemer Lives!

We had a wonderful Easter this year.  We went to the early service at church, which has been working really well for us unitl recently.  Unfortunately Oliver didn't want to sit in church, so I took him to the play room until church was over.

After church we came home to see what goodies the Easter bunny had brought us.

I got two new books, Jacob got some new shirts from you guessed it The Banana and Oliver got a basket filled with fun stuff.

Oliver's main excitement was the grass in the basket.  He wanted the cats to chase him around the house with      it.

Looking at his new books!

We had plans to go to lunch at Marylin's after the rest of the family got out of church.  Lunch was going to interept nap time so we were getting prepared for that and keeping Oliver entertained until then.  So we decided it was time for an Easter egg hunt in the front yard.

They had had an Easter egg hunt at "school" so he knew that there was candy in the eggs.  Everytime he got an egg he had to stop and open it and try to eat the candy!  I of course was not going to let him eat all of it, so I kept a package of smarties in my hand to give him in case he came across something I didn't want him to eat.

Wow! An egg all the way up in the tree!!

Got it!!

Yum, M&M's!!

So precious!!

All done!

Oh look, Mom I forgot some!!

Time for some Smarties.

He doesn't like Peeps....He is our child! Ha

Mommy time!

My sweet boy began to get sleepy, so off to the park we went!

LOVE THEM!!

Look at me!!

Music time!!

Look Mom here I come!

After the park we headed to eat lunch with the family.  Oliver did well for the most part but we did have to leave early.

Opening his Easter egg from Auntie M

Our Easter was great and I am truly thankful for the sacrifice that was made for us on the cross!  How lucky we all are to be able to celebrate his life, death and resurrection!!  I can't wait until next year when Oliver will be older and he will be able to begin to learn what Easter is all about.
