I still can't believe that my little Ollie is nine months!! He has changed so much over the last month. He can wave bye and is beginning to mumble bye-bye too. He says mama, dada and kika (kitty cat) ALL the time. He doesn't like getting dressed anymore and has started to want to have little meltdowns. Distracting him with toys seems to work pretty good so far. He shakes his head no all the time. He points at everything and loves pointing at my nose. He is obsessed with looking at all the pictures on the wall and fridge and pointing at them. Most of the pictures are of him so I guess he is kind of obsessed with himself!! The biggest accomplishment of them all is that Oliver has finally started SCOOTING forward!!!!! It began on Friday March 11th and he hasn't stopped! It is so exciting watching him grow and learn new things.
We had two Doctor visits at nine months for him. First was his nine month check up with Dr Haynes. We found out that since our last visit about a 1 1/2 months ago Oliver has not gained any weight. She wasn't too concerned right now but she does want him to have gained a decent amount of weight at his year checkup. Other than that she said that he was doing great and hitting all of his milestones and that we could start giving him some table food. So hopefully that will help him put on some weight!!
The next checkup was with Dr Whited the allergist. He said that Oliver's skin looked great and to keep doing what we were doing with all of the lotions and of course staying away form chicken and soy products. He also said that starting him on table food was fine but that for right now there is no rush to begin feeding him any meats. So we will stick with yummy veges and fruits!
Fun pics with Ollie in his "big boy" boots!
